Murray has held various mining positions including Mining Engineer at the German Creek Mine, Principal Engineer for the ACIRL Surface Mining Group and Director and Engineer for Dragline Technologies Pty Ltd.
His areas of expertise include mine planning, both short and long term, integration of environmental criteria and landform design into mine planning, software development and open cut related research and development.
Murray is currently Director of Engineering for Earth Technology Pty Ltd and Principal Engineer for Terrametrics Pty Ltd.
Earth Technology specialises in mathematical modelling, software development and open cut related research. Products include the 3d-dig mining simulator, 3dX particle flow code and QED blast design and simulation program (owned by Austin Powder).
Terrametrics provides consulting services to the open cut mining industry including mine planning, excavation and mining simulation, landform design and equipment studies.

Fields of special competence: Long and short term planning of open cut coal mines. Development and application of computerised planning techniques for mine design, scheduling and equipment simulations. Management and coordination of team studies requiring a wide range of technical expertise. Mineral economics and its application to exploration, feasibility studies and mine planning. The application of a broad range of mining technologies including both continuous and discontinuous methods and equipment.
With more than 20 years experience in the New South Wales and Queensland coal industries Geoff has a background in both open cut and underground operations, new mine development and the preparation of feasibility studies. In working for BHP, TDM (Nebo and Riverside), MIM (Newlands), Warkworth and Sinclair Knight, he has developed particular skills in the areas of dragline operations, the application of mining technologies, mineral economics, software development and project management.
Since becoming a consultant in 1990 Geoff has managed and performed: major feasibility and prefeasibility studies; technical reviews; financial studies and valuations; equipment comparisons and justifications; rehabilitation studies; and short and long term planning.

Chris has over 20 years’ experience in the mineral and extractive industries. He caters for all facets of exploration programs, evaluation and project management, particularly in gold and base metal projects, sand and hardrock construction materials operations including dimension stone.
His work is conducted predominantly in Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and Western Australia. Recent briefs undertaken include regional project management, quarry development and rehabilitation planning, reserve/resource estimation, major exploration programs, prospect assessments and project generation.
Chris is also a member of the Institute of Quarrying Australia and an Associate Member of the Securities Institute of Australia.
