Chris is a director of Australian Mine Design & Development (AMDAD) and manages their Brisbane office. He is an engineer with 20 years of experience in hardrock mining and industrial minerals projects.
This experience includes involvement in evaluation, design, development, operations and research in over 70 mining projects throughout Australia, the South Pacific, South East Asia, China, West Africa, South America and Europe.

Chris has extensive computer capability, particularly in mine planning and design applications. He is skilled in the use of Surpac and Whittle mine planning software, as well as project management applications. Extensive involvement in fesasibility studies and other evaluation and design work is supported by more than 10 years’ operations experience in underground and open cut mining.

Richard has over thirty years’ experience in the mining industry covering underground and opencut mining in hard rock and coal. His mine operating and management experience includes: taking the Windarra Nickel Mine through its development stages and into production; managing major shaft sinking projects at Mount Isa; and various underground supervisory roles.
For more than twenty years Richard has provided consulting services to numerous projects in the following areas: resources and reserves; feasibility studies; management of feasibility studies; operations reviews; project development; strategic studies; mine budgeting and reporting systems; financial evaluation; underground and opencut mining concepts; mine design and software development; management of environmental studies. Software development experience ranges from spreadsheet packages for dragline simulation, mine scheduling, costing and financial evaluation, to Unix software for bank treasury systems.

Murray has held various mining positions including Mining Engineer at the German Creek Mine, Principal Engineer for the ACIRL Surface Mining Group and Director and Engineer for Dragline Technologies Pty Ltd.
His areas of expertise include mine planning, both short and long term, integration of environmental criteria and landform design into mine planning, software development and open cut related research and development.
Murray is currently Director of Engineering for Earth Technology Pty Ltd and Principal Engineer for Terrametrics Pty Ltd.
Earth Technology specialises in mathematical modelling, software development and open cut related research. Products include the 3d-dig mining simulator, 3dX particle flow code and QED blast design and simulation program (owned by Austin Powder).
Terrametrics provides consulting services to the open cut mining industry including mine planning, excavation and mining simulation, landform design and equipment studies.

John has over 22 years’ experience in opencut and underground mining in metalliferous, coal and industrial minerals projects. His career has covered evaluation, development and operation of mining projects.
He has extensive skills in computer based mine planning and design applications. His capability in mine evaluation and planning is based upon broad and ongoing experience in mine operations which gives his work an emphasis on practically based solutions.
