Kieron has been operating as an independent consulting geologist since 1986. He specialises in providing high quality geological advice on all aspects of exploration, development and mining for the minerals industry. Specialist areas include project and company assessments, mineral resource and ore reserve estimates, independent technical reports, valuations, acquisition appraisals, and mineral exploration. He has 20 years experience and holds both Bachelor and Masters degrees in Geology. His initial work experience included senior positions with Anaconda Australia, BHP, and Metana Minerals. He has worked throughout Australia, in New Zealand, New Guinea and on projects in East Africa, South America, North America and Europe. As Exploration Manager, he successfully supervised a number of projects from exploration through development and into the mining phase. As a consultant he receives numerous commissions for the independent estimation of mineral resources using a variety of methods from classical to complex 3-D computer/geostatistical models. Much of his time in the past seven years has been directed towards acquisitions, valuation of properties and companies, feasibility studies and takeover and merger assessments. He also prepares valuation and independent geological reports and has appeared in court as an expert witness. Other recent work has included the preparation of prospectus documents, company annual and quarterly reports and corporate management. He is a member of the GSA, and a corporate member of the AusIMM, the AIG, and MICA.
